HB 146 (Stargel) Fetal and Infant Mortality Reduction—the Republican abortion ban—will be heard in its first Senate committee on Wednesday. It is the companion bill to HB 5 that is moving quickly through the House.
Republican leadership wants DeSantis to sign this legislation within the next few weeks, so they are fast-tracking the bill to get through all hearings in the House and Senate as quickly as possible. Raise your voices and make it uncomfortable for them. Let them know you represent a majority of Floridians who do not want extreme restrictions placed on private reproductive healthcare decisions.
