Members,
Let's support our Marion County sisters & brothers of our Region VI and DWCF - you are invited!
Please accept this letter as an invitation to join us for our upcoming 5th Annual Women’s Equality Tea Luncheon, Saturday, August 20, 2022, 12:30-3:00 p.m. at Precious Oaks Venue in Ocala 34482.
Each year we commemorate the adoption of the 19th Amendment to the United States Constitution which prohibits states and the federal government from denying the right to vote based on sex. We memorialize the passage of said Amendment that cleared the way for women to participate in this critical component of democracy. The designation of Women’s Equality Day, (August 26th) prompts DWCMC (Democratic Women's Club of Marion County) to celebrate with an EqualiTea Luncheon.
The Women’s Equality Day Celebration is our signature fund-raising event that helps to facilitate the yearly goals of supporting Democratic Candidates as well as Voting Registration, Education and Protections in our Community, State and our Nation.
Please help us celebrate our 5th chartered year as we spotlight Members and support local candidates; and continue to educate and inform Voters of voting legislation, while supporting policies that reflect our Democratic values.
Here is how you can help: · Individual tickets ($50) can be purchased by sending a check or pledging and will call at the door on event day. · And if you wish to purchase a table (8 seats with Table Tent) for your group, $400 will be required. · A donation of your discretion in support of our organization, the DWCMC is gladly accepted.
